Safety: don't submerge the base unit in water. Wash the stainless tray and cutlery only. Food should be cooked before heating, and Hot Smoko is for reheating, not cooking raw food.

No. Hot Smoko heats on its built-in rechargeable battery and doesn’t need water. Charge it overnight with the USB cable, pack your lunch in the morning and heat it when smoko comes around.

Anything already cooked: leftovers, pasta, curry, rice, stew, snags, roast veg. It’s made for reheating, not cooking raw food. Very thick or frozen meals take longer, so defrost them in the fridge the night before.

Lift out the stainless steel tray and wash it with the fork and spoon in warm soapy water. Wipe the base unit with a damp cloth, and never put the base in water.
